Libby is one of the twelve main characters in the Star Darlings animated and book series. She is the main point of view for the second Star Darlings book Libby and the Class Election. She first appears in the episode Star Charmed and is voiced by Marieve Herington. Libby's roommate at Starling Academy is Gemma and her first Wisher on Wishworld is Ava.

History[]
Growing up, Libby had it all. From living in a huge, sprawling mansion in the fanciest neighbourhood in Starland City; travelling to exclusive vacations; having a closet full of expensive clothes, shoes, and accessories; any toy she set her heart on; plus many more things she hadn't realised she wanted until she received them. She was unaware of her exceptional life up until she was ten years old, when she gave her exclusive, child-sized doll away to a janitor's daughter, whose family didn't have much. After her generous act, she realised how much joy she could give to those who needed it the most.
Libby started small, by donating the toys she didn't play with to a children's hospital. Her parenthought her actions were amusing... until she began giving away all of her other toys and asking for donations to her favourite charity instead of gifts on her brightght day. Libby's parents went supernova furious when that became a habit for her! They especially did not appreciate it when she questioned their lavish lifestyle, which they felt they deserved, as they had earned it through their hard work.
Now that Libby is at Starling Academy, her parents have stopped giving her allowance, but that's fine with Libby. Helping others is what strokes her glow. She stardreams about becoming the student body president of Starling Academy so she can assist everybody and continue extending her helping hand!
Appearance[]
Libby has long, shiny hair and pink eyes. Her wardrobe and pretty much everything else about her is pink too. Her style doesn't only show her status in the world but also has an "I'm rich but humble" look. Her outfit consists of a wrapped blouse with a star clasp, a star-embellished skater skirt, glitter tights and a pair of Mary Jane wedges to complete her look. Like all Starlings, she has slightly sparkly skin and a rosy complexion. A constellation of golden stars rings Libby's dazzling necklace, wish energy rippling across the stars. On Wishworld, the necklace will glow to alert Libby when she's close to the right Wisher.
On Wishworld, Libby's pink hair and eyes becomes light brown with just a streak of colour for her hair and her skin loses its sparkle. Her clothes consist of a short-sleeved pink blouse, accompanied by a fuchsia skirt tied with a bright cerise ribbon and a pair of cerise platform shoes with rosy pink socks.
Personality[]
Libby loves helping everyone and finds joy in assisting others around her. She glows with generosity and gratitude! A girl with a big heart, Libby is a persuasive and gracious person who wants to make things right for both Starlings and Wishlings. She is also a very well-mannered, bubbly, kind and sweet Starling, having come from a wealthy family but never wanting much whilst growing up.
Despite all her good traits, Libby can be indecisive over little things and is also a bit impulsive. While her heart is in the right place, she may try too hard to please everybody. She is sometimes unaware of how others perceive her, as seen in Dear Libby.
Libby's Room[]

Libby loves beautiful things and took a great deal of care designing her room. Her favorite color is everywhere―on the walls, the bed, the rug―just about everything is pink! The room sparkles with a thousand lights. The walls, the star flowers, the bed platform, and even the carpet twinkle.
The space is practical, too. Libby loves having visitors and has a closet full of folding chairs. When she's alone, she practices her keytar in front of her full-length mirror, which is equipped with a holo-recorder so she can record and play back her performances!

Starling Physiology[]
Being a Starling, Libby possesses all of the natural traits that the species has.
- Wish Energy Manipulation - Libby harnesses positive wish energy for most of her abilities.
- Energy Blasts - As displayed in The Power of Twelve, wish energy can be used to fire streams, bursts, orbs, and waves of offensive power against opponents.
- Force Fields - Demonstrated in the above special, Libby can conjure shields as defense.
- Extended Lifespan - In Scarlet Discovers True Strength, it’s confirmed that Starlings can live for thousands of years, as Mira’s grandmother is over thousands of years old. Before that, in Leona's Unlucky Mission it was hinted that a few decades wasn’t too long in comparison to Starling lifespans. However, they do not have eternal youth, as Professor Elara Ursa is stated to be among one of the oldest wish granters and has clearly aged in a similar manner to a wishling elder.
- Disease Immunity - In Scarlet Discovers True Strength, it states that the wish energy surrounding Starlings keeps them from contracting illnesses.
- Superhuman Knowledge - In Leona's Unlucky Mission, Starlings are shown to be nigh-perfect at mathematics from birth. Astra's Mixed-Up Mission also implies that Starlings are the same way towards towards literature and similar subjects such as language and grammar.
- "Manipulate" People - In Just Dancing, Libby and Leona use their wish energy to move Vega's body so that can show Vega how to dance.
- Super Charm - Libby has the ability of persuading people with natural charm. She can use this power to help stop people fighting and have them divert their focus to a more positive view.
Wish Mission Signature Powers[]
The Star Darlings each gain a power that is meant to assist with carrying out their wish missions. It is unknown if this is exclusive to them, or if they only work on Wishworld, as Adora uses hers to heal Vega in The Power of Twelve.
- Object Transmutation - Libby uses this power in the book Libby and The Class Election multiple times to change objects from one to another.
Trivia[]
- Libby is named and based after the seventh Zodiac sign, Libra.
- Her astrological opposite is Astra, who is based after Aries.
- Ironically, Libby's parents are not like Libra at all, since they don't understand her generosity.
- Libby has one free afternoon each week on Lunarday, and she usually waits for Gemma to finish whatever conversation she's having after class so that the two can head back together.
- Her room number is 333.
- She and Scarlet are opposites to each other in some ways, especially in personality.
- Libby and Sage both have wish pendants that are necklaces, making them the only star darlings whose wish pendant is the same kind of jewelry as another.
